Daniel Webster endorses Bobby Olszewski in upcoming House District 44 Special Election
On Thursday afternoon, Congressman and longtime State Lawmaker, Daniel Webster, endorsed former Winter Garden Commissioner Bobby Olszewski in the upcoming House District 44 special election.
“I have represented this community as a U.S. Congressman, a Florida State Senator, and a former Speaker of the Florida House so I’m proud to support my friend Bobby Olszewski for State House District 44.” said Webster “Bobby is a man of faith and a true conservative who truly sacrifices his time, treasure, and talents to serve West Orange County. He will be a great advocate for all of us in Tallahassee and I fully endorse his candidacy.”
Endorsements from Webster have been rare in recent years. “Bobby O”, as he’s know by supporters, is running to replace incumbent Eric Eisnaugle, who was recently appointed to the Fifth District Court of Appeals by Governor Rick Scott. Olszewski is the only candidate to publicly declare he’ll be running in the upcoming special election which could take place late this summer or in the fall.
“Congressman Webster is one of the most respected figures in the history of Orange County and Florida.” said Olszewski “He has been a mentor, friend, and the model of a great community leader and effective legislator. His trust in my candidacy is truly humbling and I hope to live up to the example he sets every day in representing Florida and his constituents,” Olszewski said.
This is the second endorsement of the week for Olszewski’s campaign, on Wednesday he was endorsed by former Speaker of the House Steve Crisafulli.
